I've been watching Threads lately and I keep seeing people discussing a sweet potato ball.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some say, "They're gone as soon as they're out of the pot," while others say, "If you go too late, you'll have to wait for the next batch."<\/span><\/p>\n

Seeing everyone exaggerating how amazing it was, I kept thinking, "Is it really that incredible?"<\/span><\/p>\n

I happened to be near Xinzhuang High School that day when I suddenly remembered this little shop that had been on my favorites list. Since it was nearby, I decided to go and take a look. The result was quite unexpected.<\/span><\/p>\n

This sweet potato ball stall, which many people say is "sold out as soon as it comes out of the pot," is actually hidden in a small alley opposite Xinzhuang High School. It doesn't have an eye-catching sign and isn't in a bustling commercial area. If someone hadn't shared it with you, it would be easy to miss it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes, the more unassuming a shop is, the more likely it is to hold a pleasant surprise.<\/span><\/p>\n

I don't know if it's just my habit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whenever buying fried food, the first thing Dad looks at isn't the food itself, but the oil.<\/span><\/p>\n

The frying oil at this restaurant was much cleaner than Dad Mao had imagined.<\/span><\/p>\n

The oil looked very clear, without the turbidity often seen after repeated frying, and there was no pile of black oil residue. The entire stall was very clean, and the two owners were very efficient in their cooking.<\/span><\/p>\n

While standing there waiting for my food, I silently gave it a lot of points.<\/span><\/p>\n

The waiting time wasn't as long as I had imagined. Instead, I watched as each sweet potato ball slowly puffed up, and after being repeatedly flipped and pressed, it finally exploded into a round, golden-yellow shape.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just looking at that picture makes me look forward to the first bite.<\/span><\/p>\n
